Gonna post about Torchwood...

Cause I don't wanna post about my life...

Tonight in Canada was Adam.... I know a lot of people don't like this episode, it's gone down as one of my favourites.... But what I'm stuck on right now is the continuity errors... In this episode it was Rhys seeing Adam, not knowing who he was, but not being retconned? Huh? Jack retconned the entire team and neglected this fact? He even says that the thing with Gwen and Rhys should have been a big clue... And then NEVER mentions it.... It's almost as bad as Gwen and Rhys' families getting retconned the night of their wedding... Does that mean that their families forgot that they got married? What's even funnier is that listed in the credits is a person just for *continuity.* You'd think this would be more than matching what the actors are wearing from shot to shot...

At least their editting isn't that bad. I know Queer as Folk is terrible for it, and the cuts are really glaring (at least to me).

The other thing that gets me about Adam is the way that Ianto and Jack separate after leaving Rhys and Gwen's... Ianto tells Jack about a weevil sighting, Jack says that he'll drop him off, Ianto asks if he can go with, cause it's "been a while since we went hunting together," (code for...) and Jack says no... Wha? Just to get them separated so Jack has his memories about Gray and Ianto is left alone at the Hub... Just love the convoluted plot devices. I do love that it's what happened to Ianto that gets Jack to look into things further and actually lock Adam up. Go Jack protecting your boy... What is with the fics these days that have Jack calling Ianto that? If he actually does that in the new series though, I will not be able to stop laughing.

As of right now, it's almost midnight in Atlanta... I wonder what Gareth has been doing... Hmmmmmmmmmmmm.... Can't wait for Dragon Con reports... I really don't think he's started filming yet... Especially since John said yesterday that he's only done three days (and they've been back for 2 weeks now)... Gareth would have had to leave for the States yesterday or the day before too...

Let's see, life... Got a 94 in my first module... Have another intro to computer, then word processing, then success strategies and back to word processing...

I had more, I think, but I am too tired to remember...

Oh I know... I want John's single just by itself, not part of the interview... Grr.... I wish I knew how to edit clips...

I love Adam, though I pretty much watch the Gwen-and-Rhys parts and the Ianto-is-a-murderer thing. But I watch those parts over and over again. Jack's family history and Owen and Tosh are just boring to me. But yeah, the episode wins mad points for not making much sense in the end.

Randomly, I've also been watching Something Borrowed a lot as well lately, but again, just parts. It's funny that those are the two you mentioned. :)

Yeah those are pretty much the parts that I watch too. I kinda skip over Jack's family stuff too though... I only really watched the entire episode a few weeks ago... Till then I didn't even know that Jack's father's name was Franklin.

Something Borrowed gets me, cause SO many Jack/Ianto shippers take offense to Gwen and Jack's dance at the wedding... I feel like I'm one of the few that don't, it didn't other me then and it doesn't bother me now...

Oh, Jack/Ianto shippers. It seems to me that most them have no understanding whatsoever of Jack. The idea of Jack being in love with Gwen while simultaneously being in love with Ianto (and Owen, Tosh, Rose, The Doctor, Martha, real!Captain Jack, and who knows who else for that matter), with neither love being better or worse, just simply different is preposterous! It's quite obvious that Jack is capable of this. Hell, he was still in love with Estelle after all those years.

But I like Jack/Gwen, I just think it's so badly handled on the show. Or maybe Gwen just can't handle being in love with two people at the same time the way Jack can (which is probably more the case than anything), I just hate the consistent feeling that she settled for Rhys. I ♥ Rhys.

What gets me about that episode is the end: everyone wakes up in the Hub. No one remembers going to sleep in the Hub. They've lost any trace of the last two days (no internal CCTV either). And they all go, "Huh, okay, moving on." I would have expected them to be at least a little worried about the whole deal. *g*

I don't quite see it that way... It feels more glossed over to me, like they got to the end and didn't have any more time...

I do love how Tosh says that the CCTV's been wiped and we don't see Jack or anyone else actually do it or talk about it.
