To all of the Canadians out there! I truly believe that the only way you get to complain about who's in office is if you vote in the election. It's all of our rights, so go and vote.

I hope all the Canadians had an enjoyable Thanksgiving... I didn't do much, besides screwing up my lastfm... It was still nice to relax though.

ETA: Our elections results are REALLY boring... It looks like the Conservatives and the Liberals are going to be neck and neck for the rest of the night (I didn't vote for either, but then again I never do)...

Weird thing to say considering I left work sick... And I was upset about my hours... They gave me full time, when I specifically asked for part time... My TM was really nice about it and said it should be cleared up by the end of today...

That's not why I'm better though... I actually looked at my bank account and I have more money than I thought... I paid my bills, and I have money for my car insurance.... YAY...

I'm just still not sure if I'm staying where I'm working... Well I know I'm not staying long term...

Oh and I REALLY want to know if John Barrowman's in town... I'm pretty sure I'm going to go to TO tomorrow anyway... Roam around Queen St and all of that...

And Torchwood tonight... From Out of the Rain, another episode people didn't seem to like, but I really do.

ETA: Okay I've confirmed he's definitely not in TO.

My dilemma is that The Sound of Music opens in Toronto on Friday... To my knowledge John Barrowman went to the UK opening of Sound of Music with Connie Fisher and the opening of Joseph...Nothing has been confirmed or said that he is coming to the show Friday (or this weekend really). Obviously if it were in the UK he would be there no problem, but with an ocean to cross to see this opening...

So I guess my question is, should I go to Toronto this weekend, and take a chance that he's coming, even though it's not confirmed?

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.... I REALLY can't make up my mind...

Just read this in an article:

Dr Who and Torchwood star John Barrowman, well-known for mincing his words, whined "I've gained 7 stone since we began filming in Wales. Just look at my ass. My partner says it looks like the Cardiff time-space rift. He got lost in there once and we had to send the entire Torchwood cast and crew into my wormhole to rescue him."

That and I finally got to see Al Murray with John and Donny Osmond... I had the part where John tells Donny that he begged his grandmother to make him the white outfit like the Osmonds wore in Crazy Horses, to which Donny turns to all and says, "that's what happened," then Al points at John and says to Donny, "that's all your fault." And then they all crack up.

I'm glad that there is somewhere I can turn to cheer me up...

but Something Borrowed is on right now... And I get to watch it, no more missing it.... Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.........

Anyway, two things... I swear the episodes that they are playing on Space are different cuts than what they played on the BBC.... It's really starting to confuse me... That and this is the last of the botox episodes... I'm sorry but it's really distracting...

I'm starting to wonder if the next series will be the botox series...

Oh and apparently the Torchwood series 2 North American DVD release that was this past Tuesday? I confirmed today that the Canadian release has been delayed to November 11th... I ran all around the frickin' city looking for it, only to find that I can't get it... I could have stayed home and had a nap... Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.............

Oh and The Sound of Music opens next Friday.... And JB has nothing scheduled for next week... So does that mean he *could* be coming back to TO next week? I'm trying REALLY hard not to get my hopes up...

Work was REALLY scary and REALLY fun today... All of our floor support is really nice... So hopefully...

Oh and how come I didn't know that Ruthie Henshall dated Prince Edward till today?

ETA: Oh AND I lost one of my Tigger earrings... No idea how... I've had those earring for over 10 years grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.............

Post about my life...

It sucked rocks this week... I hate ellaborating so that's all I will say... That and I hate when it's bad SO much...

My mom and I got into it (again), other people were brought in and ultimately we had to come together to fix it...

I almost thought I would have to take a fail in a module, because it was so bad... It got better though, and we had an awesome presentation though... Ironically our group (who were the colour green in the personality spectrum) was the only one that had guys in it... Three girls and two guys and there were no other guys in any of the other groups. It was frustrating cause they wouldn't focus and they were slightly argumentative... Which fit right into what we are as the colour green in the spectrum. I have a solo presentation to do tomorrow, so wish me luck.

Work is actually good and has been a highlight the last few days (amazingly enough). We're almost done training (tomorrow is our last day of training) and then we start taking calls on Friday... I've never done that before, so I am nervous... I have to get something for our potluck too... That and my schedule changes then too, which I am hoping I can talk to one of the manager's about.

Ummmmmmmm....

The Clay Aiken story made me laugh... Especially the people that are all up in arms about it... I was like that though about Rosie O'Donnell, I would not believe it. I was thinking along the lines that she'd been on the air for almost five years and had never said a word about it... The only thing I remembered before she said she was a lesbian on her show, was about a letter she got that asked if she and John McDaniel were dating... She mentioned it to John on the air and they both started laughing. Which I could remember after... Weirdly enough I think I was having a recurring dream that her show went back on the air.

The quote from RTD's book was interesting... For me, because I was still wondering how Gareth's part got so much bigger on Torchwood, when he started at the first read through sitting with the guest stars and not the rest of the main cast. I admit that I am more of a Gareth fan than a Burn fan... Mostly because I am a big time Jack/Ianto fan... But I think that Burn was and is the best actor of that cast, and I would have preferred that both he and Naoko stayed...

And John Barrowman's comments about men? I'm sorry, but they made me laugh. He just got right to the point and the people (mostly women) who are up in arms... To me they're overreacting...

Oh and me being so out of it? I left my itunes running all morning.... Oops

Gonna go listen to Rick Astley now :P

There...

I had it in my head that since today was ALW's birthday concert in the park that it would be on the radio today too (like Faenol), nope it doesn't actually air till October 10th... Now I'm disappointed.... I shouldn't be though, I can go have a nap, and not worry about being back for a certain time...

The hard way no less (that's typical with me though)... My mom loves me no matter what I do, and I have done probably everything now (good and BAD).

Since it's the anniversary of September 11th, I'll share my story... I was unemployed and was watching the tv that morning... As per my usual it was the Today Show and Matt Lauer was interviewing a guy about book he wrote about Howard Hughes just before 9am... I can even remember that the last question Matt asked was how he got info about Howard and he said he had had access to his diaries... Matt looked up, turned to the guy and said I'm sorry, but I have to cut you off... But then it was 8:54am and they had to go off till 9am (for the local news, weather etc...)... So I was curious, and switched the channel to CNN, and sure enough they were reporting about a plane hitting the World Trade Centre.... That was the point when they were still talking about when a plane hit the Empire State Building in the 30's, so no sure sign yet that it was terrorism... I switched to Regis and Kelly then (back when I still liked her) and they were showing pictures of the fire and the smoke at the top of the building... Kelly was in shock and Regis was speechless (for once) And then they started talking about the television signals that were taken out when the planes hit the tower... So I started switching between channels, and I just missed the footage of the second plane hitting... Which of course confirmed terrorism...

Then I had to go to the doctor. All I could think that it was ironic that it was my second appointment that summer and the first time was the day they put Timothy McVeigh to death and now this... All to do with terrorism. That and I was wondering what the doctor would say (he's an older man, and is frazzled on a good day, no telling what something like this would do).

I drove down and on the way I was listening to the radio... Waited for the doctor, in the office their radio station was still playing music, but my doctor's secretary got a phone call confirming that the buildings had fallen... Then I saw the doctor (who didn't have much to say at all), and then I drove home and by then even my radio station (I used to listen to oldies all the time) was playing news coverage.

I talked to my mom and the neighbours about it (the couple next door actually left for Pennsylvania the next day), and of course watched the coverage continuously...

I remember someone saying that they were targeting tall buildings and it made me wonder if they considered the CN Tower...

Just all these thoughts flying through my head...

I'll hide these behind here... )

I saw the show on Labour Day Weekend '06. Tim Howar, Chris Hanke (even though Matt Caplan is listed in the playbill I have), Jamie Lee Kirschner, Frenchie Davis et al. NYC was getting hit by the tailend of a hurricane that day too. Not that much different than right now...

Good times :o)
