I particularly love the story he tell about his niece's class... There's more to it too... Apparently they google John in her class and some of the kids said to Claire that her uncle's hot...

Seeing John at the CBC...
Jun. 23rd, 2008 07:50 pmI do have pictures, but I will have to add them later...
I got there early, couldn't find a bathroom and then had to wait in line for over an hour... The website and our tickets said that our check-in would be between 5:30-6pm... I checked the time once I got through the line (there were people behind me) and it was 6:01pm... And we still had to make it upstairs to the studio...
Where we were waiting for the elevator was Casey and Finnigan's treehouse, Mr Dressup's tickle trunk and one of the trolley cars from Mr. Roger's Neighbourhood... Very cool...
Went to the bathroom twice and lost my seat... I got to sit in the bleachers rather than on the floor after that... Which was better, I had a better view of the judges ;o) (I know where I want to see next week now ;o))...
The warmup guy was funny and he actually introduced the judges to us... The *genetically perfect* John Barrowman, which cracked him up, and actually my first real view of him was of his ass... Considering what ... Elaine with the funky shoes (they were very pretty actually) and Simon Lee... John talked the most to the crowd of the three of them... He kept talking to the people behind him a lot...
Finally Gavin came out and did a twirl... He said that John taught him to do that, which JB laughed at... And then he told him to twirl the other way... And Gavin was all no way, I know what you want me to do...
Then it was almost time for the show to go live... So a guy came out to mop the stage, we started to applaud the guy finished with a little dance...
The girls came out then and the show began...
It was truly a whirlwind... But I will see what I can remember...
ETA: He asked the people behind him for a mint... Someone gave him one and he made this face after... He was the harshest on the girls, Elaine was the nicest, and Simon started out that way, but then started to take his cue from John... I was sitting with the people for Marisa (ironic, cause we are from the same area), and they booed when he said critiqued her performance... In the commercial breaks the audience guy was playing a trivia game, he was getting finalists to win a signed copy of John's book... The one girl (in my section again), got it wrong she said that Captain Von Trapp's first name for Geog... It's actually Georg, but the guy gave it to her... And then another woman got the french title of the film, and John was standing at that point, so the audience guy pointed at him and said see you even got John excited, and he started shaking his leg..
