for school today... Went downtown TO to get it... The Gardiner was closed beyond the York, Bay and Yonge St. exit, which made the expressway go to a standstill...

When they told me at school the other day where the bookstore was, they said a block from the Eaton Centre.... Which I do know how to find (most of the time), but if they had said it was on the same street as the Canon Theatre, I wouldn't have farted around on Yonge St, or worried that I was going in the wrong direction. I think I could find that theatre in the dark... Actually I have...

They're actually playing Chitty Chitty Bang Bang there starting Dec 24th (hard to believe that's a week tomorrow).... Spring Awakening is coming in the new year there. They're still playing We Will Rock You, and of course The Sound of Music (which I still haven't seen). I think they still have Evil Dead too...

I need to get back into theatre, seriously...

ETA: Oh and I knew I was going blind, but I saw a picture of Boyzone today and I couldn't pick out Ronan... I thought I had and I was totally wrong.

No matter how many times I watch The Godfather Part II I still don't get the story... I mean I get the part about young Vito Corleone and his rise to power, but Michael's story? Not so much. I get parts I and III but not II. AMC has been marathoning the movies all weekend (well I and II anyway, I haven't seen III, but then again who wants to? Sofia Coppola yeesh!), and I have been watching and trying to understand, and I just don't get it... I even double checked to make sure that the character of Fredo is in I and II and he is, but it still didn't help

That and Dr. Zhivago, I don't get that movie either... *Shifts eyes around* I hope no one stops by randomly and tries to explain them to me... Someone tried to explain Dr. Zhivago to me once and it just didn't take.

Class was long... Frickin' Excel chapters are looooooooooooonggggggggggggg... The girl who's on the same schedule as me still isn't done Proofreading and English. She didn't do the checkpoints and now she can't get past them (you have to get 80% to move on) to the exam...

Also it's Prince Charles 60th and he and Al Pacino are friends... Allrighty then... That and Robert DeNiro saw Hair in London with John Barrowman :P
frankiecat: (John and Gareth falling asleep)
Anyway...

I just read that Adam Pascal is going to be at the Royal Variety Performance for a Lion King tribute... John Barrowman's going to be there too... John and Adam? Yes please!

Which makes me think (as I do every so often), what part could John play in Rent? Now to me it's between Mark and Roger. Right now I am leaning towards Roger, but it's still hard to imagine him playing an HIV postive ex-heroin addict... Why I'm leaning that way is that Will Chase played Roger in Rent, and played Chris in Miss Saigon... I know there's some faulty reasoning in there, but it's my theory :P

Ummmmmmmmmm......... What else? Business English and Proofreading is now over... Don't know what I got on the project, but I got 84 on the exam. I was steered in the wrong direction on a question and got the answer wrong.... I've already started Excel too... And I saw another course that I might be interested in today.

Went for an interview at a tube park... Which was interesting.

Watched General Hospital today... It's gotten SO lame. Elizabeth and Jason should just be together... And the way Laura left was SO stupid.

Now I'm listening to Oprah... Her home and Rob Lowe's didn't burn down... So relieved :P

Oh and apparently I don't know as many Best Picture Winners and classic Disney movies as I thought... I know more about movie villains? Weird?

And this song? It's so sad, but it's so beautiful... George needs to write more musicals...

ETA: And I totally forgot... Was poking around John's revamped website... Very nice, of course there were a few people who didn't like the colours (I'm surprised their comments got through).

ETA 2: Love the new trailer for the Doctor Who Christmas special - Allons-y!

I just found a video of the Wild Party, and a Blue Gillespie concert audio, that I didn't even know that I had... I also got rid of Patti Lupone (I know, file that under what the??) and Lauren Molina? (I barely know who that is...). And Duke Ellington (I think I was just trying to be pretentious there)?

People saying that Gareth screams too much? Totally correct I've only listened to one song, and I've already got a bit of a headache.

And itunes just shuffled to LeAnn Rimes :P

ETA: I just went to Blue Gillespie's lastfm page, and one of the songs on their playlist is John Barrowman's Being Alive...
frankiecat: (Rent OBC- *Rentcrack*)
Adam Pascal on his blog telling how his family calls him ladyjeans, because a girl on his website (who he blew up at) had that as her username on his message board. Said message board is now gone, but he still laments the name...

Oh and the tour with Anthony and Adam? It's being called the final Rent tour? WAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

Just to be random...

The TO production of The Sound of Music is going to tour North America? Did anybody know that before??

I found out John Barrowman's panto this year is on ice... Really? I've seen some of that dancing on ice stuff...

I got 90 in my Advanced Keyboarding course....

And I have absolutely nothing to say about David Tennant...

Oh and I downloaded the OBC of Godspell... I don't know anybody in that cast, what I really wanted was the movie soundtrack... Victor Garber singing (I'm weird, I know)... I downloaded it in April, and am just now listening to it...

Now I have this urge to watch JB on Jonathan Ross

ETA: Also finally remembered how to make syndicated feeds tonight... Made new ones for JB, and for Gareth David-Lloyd

Oh and I read that Space is going to replay series 2 of Torchwood starting Nov 2... At least I think it was the 2nd... That would mean it's changing nights... And to think I was lamenting it being over...

My dilemma is that The Sound of Music opens in Toronto on Friday... To my knowledge John Barrowman went to the UK opening of Sound of Music with Connie Fisher and the opening of Joseph...Nothing has been confirmed or said that he is coming to the show Friday (or this weekend really). Obviously if it were in the UK he would be there no problem, but with an ocean to cross to see this opening...

So I guess my question is, should I go to Toronto this weekend, and take a chance that he's coming, even though it's not confirmed?

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.... I REALLY can't make up my mind...

Has it been confirmed one hundred percent either in a press release, by Cameron MacKintosh or some other reputable source that Burn Gorman has been cast as Bill Sykes in Oliver? I just saw an interview that JB did here, and he says in no uncertain terms that Burn has been cast... I just don't remember if that has actually been announced officially yet?

Oh and Idina and Denise totally want the part in the ALW musical... Totally...
frankiecat: (Buffy "peachy with a side of keen")
People were saying that Idina sounded bad at the Chess concert... She doesn't to me... What the hell are they talking about? Complaining that she doesn't sound like Julia? So what! I was pleasantly surprised by Kerry Ellis... That and an Elphaba with long blonde hair? Interesting (I did look she wears a long dark wig for the part) Adam and Josh sound great (as expected)...

Had an interlude (wanted to see Adam and Idina together, there is no footage of them together in Aida, just audio)...

Anyway... I am now obsessed with Luke and Noah on ATWT too... Kinda interesting for me, considering I saw the episode when Holden helped Lily deliver Luke... Yes I know that makes me oooooooooollllllllllllllldddddddddd.... The spoilers look promising, and when Noah told Luke that nothing bad was going to happen to him (Noah), that means that something will... I love that I read that they are going to have more normal couple interactions and that they will be included in breakdowns for the show... (I just hope that's not too ominous)...

Starting September 10th, Declan Bennett and Harley Jay take over the roles of Roger Davis and Mark Cohen in Broadway's Rent, from none other than Adam Pascal and Anthony Rapp.

I wanna say I saw them first, but the tour was in other places before Kitchener, and there were a whole lot of other people there that night...

Still really want to BADLY see Adam and Anthony... Declan and Harley not so much... Considering I have seen them twice...

Looks around... Smartass? Who me???
